Neal A. Tognazzini

Neal grew up just east of Seattle and received his BA in philosophy from Western Washington University. He started his graduate studies at UCR in the fall of 2003, and expects to earn his PhD in June of 2009. For the ’08–’09 academic year he will hold a Dissertation Completion Fellowship from the Mellon Foundation and the ACLS while he finishes his dissertation, The Conceptual Foundations of Moral Responsibility. Besides free will and moral responsibility, his research interests include metaphysics, ethics, and philosophy of religion. Some of his work has appeared (or will appear) in journals such as Nous, Philosophy and Public Affairs, and Faith and Philosophy.
