Gerardo got his B.A. in Philosophy (with a concentration in Religious Thought) from UCSC. Since then, he has worked for the departments of graduate and undergraduate admissions at UCSC, and as an academic advisor for the Department of Sociology at UCR before arriving at the Department of Philosophy in September of 2004. His philosophical interests include the role of emotions in philosophy, the relationship between philosophy, religion, and culture, and the question of what it means to live a good human life. Gerardo is also interested in building community within the undergraduate philosophy and philosophy/law and society student population.
